Gli strumenti ospitati dal piccolo Museo della Musa sono stati acquisiti, in un lungo periodo di tempo, sia dai relativi fabbricanti che, per i più antichi, da privati oppure, per quanto riguarda alcune cornamuse e fiati nord-italiani e irlandesi, dallo stesso Daniele, apprezzato costruttore oltre che musicista professionista e ricercatore.
In un'ampia varietà di forme vi sono esposte cornamuse provenienti da Italia settentrionale e Canton Ticino, Italia centro-meridionale, Francia, penisola iberica, isole britanniche, paesi baltici, bacino del Mediterraneo, dall'Europa orientale e penisola arabica.
Alcune cornamuse sono declinate in diverse misure e quindi in diverse tonalità, dalla più bassa alla più acuta, mentre di altre sono presenti svariate versioni che differiscono secondo la zone di origine o la loro complessità. Non mancano altri strumenti tradizionalmente associati ad alcune cornamuse o che ormai spesso si trovano ad accompagnarle.
The instruments housed in the small Museo della Musa were acquired, over a long period of time, both from their manufacturers and, for the oldest ones, from private individuals or, as regards some Northern Italian and Irish bagpipes and wind instruments, from Daniele himself, an appreciated maker as well as a professional musician and researcher.
In a wide variety of shapes there are bagpipes on display from Northern Italy and the Canton of Ticino, Central and Southern Italy, France, the Iberian Peninsula, the British Isles, the Baltic countries, the Mediterranean basin, Eastern Europe and the Arabian Peninsula.
Some bagpipes come in different sizes and therefore in different tones, from the lowest to the highest, while others have several versions that differ according to their area of origin or their complexity. There are also other instruments traditionally associated with some bagpipes or that are now often found accompanying them.
